Can I get an "on site" estimate?

Unfortunately, due to the size of our company, we can not give estimates on site for gutter cleaning.  Our pricing page should give you a good idea of your expected cost.  We will give you an estimate over the phone or email based on your description of your home.  Our gutter cleaning estimates are given with an expected range of costs.  When we arrive and see the price is going to be more than the price range we give you, we will discuss it with you before any work is done.  With many years of experience our estimates are rarely off.

Do I need to be home when my gutters are cleaned?

No, you do not!  All debris from the gutters will be cleaned up and bagged. An invoice will be left at the time your service has been completed. If there are any problems with the gutters that need further attention we will notify you.  Keep in mind that our technichians work from sun up to sundown. All we ask is that you remit payment within 3 days of service.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made using cash, check or even pay by credit card, debit card or Paypal on our website.

What is the purpose of gutters?

Gutters and downspouts prevent water that falls on the roof from dripping down the sides of the house and collecting near the foundation.   Uncontrolled rain water falling from your roof can lead to many problems. Flooding basements, water intruding into the home, ruined landscaping, dead or damaged plants, soil erosion, stained concrete, swollen siding, rotted decks, deteriorated stucco, and cracked slabs, are just a few of the problems that can occur.

How do I know if my gutters need to be cleaned?

The gutters will not work properly if they are clogged. Some good signs the gutters are clogged is the water coming over the top, water in the basement, water constantly dripping of leaking from the gutters when it is not raining or hasn’t rained recently. Water leaking inside your home/building, generally where the ceilings meet the walls. These are just the most obvious signs of clogged gutters, sometimes the signs are not so easy to spot, which is why we recommend cleaning the gutters at least twice a year.

What is included with the basic gutter cleaning?

-Clean gutters and downspouts of all debris using a bucket and our hands first, then remove the small debris using a hose or a leaf blower (if the debris is dry).  Any mess that is made is cleaned up before we leave.

-Tightening of any loose gutter hangers/nails.

-Complimentary roof inspection: We feel for soft spots, also keep an eye out for popped nails, loose flashings, missing shingles, rotten lumber, and many more normal issues we see while we are cleaning gutters.

-Blowing all the debris from your sidewalks, driveway and decks after the gutter cleaning has been finished.

Where do you clean gutters?

Sterling, Ashburn, Herndon, Reston, Leesburg, South Riding, Great Falls, McLean, Tysons Corner, Oakton, Fairfax, Fairfax City,  Fairfax Station, Chantilly, Centreville, Vienna, Falls Church,Annandale, Springfield, Burke, Fairfax Station, Clifton, Alexandria, Arlington, Lorton, and more if multiple jobs are arranged in advance.

Will you clean up your mess after cleaning the gutters?

It is our policy to leave your grounds as tidy as we found them, if not tidier.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

This varies, depending on the environment. Generally, it's a good idea to have this done 2-4 times per year. At a minimum, you should have your gutter inspected and cleaned in the spring, to clear out dead twigs and seeds that accumulate at the beginning of the growing season; and again in the autumn, after the leaves fall.  Keep in mind that shingle roofs shed granulates causing sand bar like dams in the gutters. If not washed out they will obstruct the flow of water to the downspouts.

Do you do repairs?

We do minor repairs like fixing leaks in the corners, replacing screws in downspouts or missing hangers.  Tightening the gutters back in where they have come loose is a part of the standard service.

Do we serviced Gutter Helmets?

Unfortunately we do not service homes with solid helmets and covers.  We haved found that they reclog because we cannot access the inner front edge to clean them properly. We would recommend contacting the installer or manufacturer.
